Sometimes we just feel like giving up on things delegated to us. I was on this bus heading from Queensbay Mall back to my rented room at Burma road. There was a road block due to the Chap Goh Mei festive and the bus driver took another lane that was available and detoured round to get me back to my destination. Now what have I learned? On the bus, the driver told me that if it wasn't for me, he would have return back to the station and report that the jam made it impossible to reach the destination on time therefore will have to canceled the trip. Well, I was thinking..how many times when we are given a task and we faithfully complete it even though it is troublesome and very frustrating? Do we give up or do we press on? Especially task delegated to us from God. Just as James 1:2-4 says:
Jas 1:2 My brothers and sisters, be very happy when you are tested in different ways.
Jas 1:3 You know that such testing of your faith produces endurance.
Jas 1:4 Endure until your testing is over. Then you will be mature and complete, and you won't need anything.
When we are given a task...sometimes is a task on weather we complete it or give up after some failures (objective failures that does not equate total failure) or some frustration or do we endure and be mature?

My daily spiritual journal
“Mat 13:44 "The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure buried in a field. When a man discovered it, he buried it again. He was so delighted with it that he went away, sold everything he had, and bought that field.
Mat 13:45 "Also, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant who was searching for fine pearls.
Mat 13:46 When he found a valuable pearl, he went away, sold everything he had, and bought it.”
Mat 6:21 Your heart will be where your treasure is.
These indeed are interesting scriptures taken From Matthew 13: 44-46 (God’s Word) and Matthew 6:21 (God’s Word). What does it means to me? Well, if we really find what God has for us is that awesome, are we willing to give up everything for His all? It’s interesting as to how willing are we to God’s instructions that’s why it says where are heart is will be where are treasure is. If we want to be great and do great things, we need to put our heart to it and pay the price. The price at times may be giving up something or some habits to make us inherit greater things. God never reserve good things for us but He always reserves the best things for us. Note English superlatives: good ->better -> best
God, I’ve been given the opportunity to share Recess Revolution in Wesley Methodist School tomorrow to their principal. Help me and guide me to use the right words to show them the benefits of starting 1 in their school. God teach me to be willing and to obey you whole heartedly. Thanks God for everything. In Jesus’s name, Amen.

My 10th February 2010
Today has been an interesting day. Woke up early, went to Lighthouse helped my parents up and came home. Got to know that 1 of the kids dad just passed away and his body is still undergoing post mo tern in the hospital. It seems like a mission failed to me coz someone didn't enter heaven. Well, just complete writing a letter to the principal of Wesley Methodist School. Hope I can share Recess Revolution with them. My prayer for today:
1) Oh God please give the the chance to share with the principal of Wesley Methodist School and let them start 1 recess revolution group to be a blessing to the students there. Let the students there show up, stand up and speak up in their school for You. Let the management see how this movement can help strengthen the spiritual lives of the students and may they be transformed and impact others.
2) God, I just want to be a blessing and not a reproach nor curse. Help me be a blessing and impact others that they can see You in me and not the darkness that comes from my wrongful actions. Help me speak the right words and do the right things that others will not view me as an annoyance but someone approachable.
3) Lord, I've just been appointed to be the caretaker of the notice board and to make sure that the Power point is being taken care of. Help me work alongside well with my fellow committee member as well as with Darren our president as well as Shirlyn the person whom I'm training to take over in my absence. Lord, I've appointed Shirlyn because I know You have sent her here to be a blessing too among us. Teach me how to communicate well with everyone especially with the new members such as Shirlyn.
Thank You God for everything. In Jesus's name. Amen

Farewell Kaytie, my statements about her
Kaytie Ong, I salute you as a fellow soldier and comrade in Christ. You have accomplished your mission well on earth and has persisted even when circumstances were not in your favor. You have been given an honorable discharge. The Lord, our Commander In Chief has acknowledged and commended on your effort and your accomplishment in the mission He assigned you. You have indeed fought the good fight. Indeed till we meet again in heaven, I promise God, I will make sure I accomplish my mission here while I am still assigned here on earth. You have taught us to be persistent and not give up. You will always be in our memories.
God, please watch over us and guide us to the accomplishment of Your mission and purpose in us. Let us not fail in our missions.
God, please watch over us and guide us to the accomplishment of Your mission and purpose in us. Let us not fail in our missions.
Farewell Katie Ong
Its an hour to 5 days since Katie Ong, our beloved friend went home to be with our Father. It still make me think about how God work in people. When I received the news 12 ago that her condition was deteriorating, it makes me wonder what the Lord's plan is for her. Could she be healed or will she be the one whose journey home will cause some changes in heart of some people?
About 4 hours before her departure, I viewed my phone's SMS and found a message sent to me by my dad at 4am. I remembered it clearly that day as I was suppose to lead prayer in my campus's Recess Revolution. When I say the message "Pray for Katie's condition", I asked the Lord, "What is it now?". I was actually very tired of listening to these news about her condition not improving despite prayer. Surprisingly I get an answer I didn't expect "She is going home. She is being embraced in My arms. Her work is done." I only received these words as I left my room and as I inquire further, the answer seems obvious - She is going home soon. I went straight to 7-eleven, reloaded my phone and call my dad straight away and tell him everything. He told me that my mum is with Katie and it seems sis. Lynn received the same notice that she is going home. I hung up and ask God for more info. The Lord said, "She has been an intercessor. Nobody sees what she does. Now her role is complete. I have already prepared a mansion for her". I replied "Your will be done".
I went on and lead prayer in campus while sharing this with Ben and Darren before heading to the library to continue editing my Quality Management assignment so that I can pass up on that day. Just before noon, I received the SMS that Katie has gone home. It was fast!
What happens after it was her dad repented and cut all ties with the kingdom of darkness. It was Katie's desire that her whole family who was at 1 point backslid-den to return back to God. First she and her sis Sandy prayed. Then God worked in their mother. Lastly God fulfilled her desire for her father. Her role was to intercede for her family and perhaps impact others. She fulfilled that even when she went home.
Why have I written this now?
Its just a recollection of the things past. After the event, we can see the whole picture clearly without doubts. For all those who knows Katie, lets rejoice for she has returned home, a home where there will be no sickness, pain nor hurts but a home filled with God's glory and love. Thank You God for Kaytie
