Farewell Katie Ong

Its an hour to 5 days since Katie Ong, our beloved friend went home to be with our Father. It still make me think about how God work in people. When I received the news 12 ago that her condition was deteriorating, it makes me wonder what the Lord's plan is for her. Could she be healed or will she be the one whose journey home will cause some changes in heart of some people?
About 4 hours before her departure, I viewed my phone's SMS and found a message sent to me by my dad at 4am. I remembered it clearly that day as I was suppose to lead prayer in my campus's Recess Revolution. When I say the message "Pray for Katie's condition", I asked the Lord, "What is it now?". I was actually very tired of listening to these news about her condition not improving despite prayer. Surprisingly I get an answer I didn't expect "She is going home. She is being embraced in My arms. Her work is done." I only received these words as I left my room and as I inquire further, the answer seems obvious - She is going home soon. I went straight to 7-eleven, reloaded my phone and call my dad straight away and tell him everything. He told me that my mum is with Katie and it seems sis. Lynn received the same notice that she is going home. I hung up and ask God for more info. The Lord said, "She has been an intercessor. Nobody sees what she does. Now her role is complete. I have already prepared a mansion for her". I replied "Your will be done".
I went on and lead prayer in campus while sharing this with Ben and Darren before heading to the library to continue editing my Quality Management assignment so that I can pass up on that day. Just before noon, I received the SMS that Katie has gone home. It was fast!
What happens after it was her dad repented and cut all ties with the kingdom of darkness. It was Katie's desire that her whole family who was at 1 point backslid-den to return back to God. First she and her sis Sandy prayed. Then God worked in their mother. Lastly God fulfilled her desire for her father. Her role was to intercede for her family and perhaps impact others. She fulfilled that even when she went home.
Why have I written this now?
Its just a recollection of the things past. After the event, we can see the whole picture clearly without doubts. For all those who knows Katie, lets rejoice for she has returned home, a home where there will be no sickness, pain nor hurts but a home filled with God's glory and love. Thank You God for Kaytie
